Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Quality Control 2 Engineer to implement and manage the QC program on projects, ensuring durable and reliable installations.

You will oversee field inspections to verify safety compliance and document the quality plan. This role applies ISO, CMMI, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, PMBOK, and ITIL frameworks to drive audits, reports, and continuous improvement, coordinating with clients and subcontractors to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Industrial/Systems Engineering preferred.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Working knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC 3-Phase Quality Control System.

Responsibilities

• Gather customer specific quality requirements, review governing material for project quality plan.
• Create and maintain project specific quality plan and align External and MMC Quality Plans.
• Conduct Mutual Understanding Meetings with subcontractors.
• Create and maintain Quality Control Tracking Log with planned vs actual schedules for three QC phases.
• Create and maintain project-specific QC checklists.
• Verify and status submittal approvals.
• Facilitate and participate in Design reviews.
• Interface with client representatives for issue resolution, reporting, improvements and audits.
• Interface with subcontractor representatives for issue resolution, reporting, improvements and audits.
• Coordinate inspections and audits with 3rd party inspectors.
• Document processes across ISO, CMMI, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, PMBOK, ITIL frameworks.
• Identify controls and create rules for implementing controls.
• Lead all QA, compliance, audits, deliverables, and process improvement activities.
• Conduct audits to measure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Prepare product and process quality reports and trends.
• Develop project scorecards on Quality Assurance for leadership reports.
• Lead special process improvement projects to identify root causes and preventive actions.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management

Industrial/Systems Engineering preferred
