Job summary

DSLD Homes LLC in Beaumont/Orange, TX is seeking a Quality Control/Customer Care Technician to join our team. The role focuses on internal quality inspections across mechanical, electrical, and trade trades, and ensuring high standards before homeowner orientation.

Responsibilities include warranty service after closing, periodic inspections at 30 days, 6 months, and 12 months, documenting repairs, coordinating with Customer Care, and educating homeowners on system operation.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in residential construction preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; uses iPad for documents.
• Customer service background and a positive attitude required.
• Strong work ethic, communication skills, and ability to handle confrontation professionally.
• Residency in AL, FL, GA, LA, MS, TN, or TX.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal quality control inspections of mechanical, electrical, structural, and finish trades.
• Serve as an internal customer before homeowner orientation to ensure quality.

Quality Control/Customer Care Technician(Full Time) - Beaumont/Orange, TX

• Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• In charge of internal quality control inspections to ensure adherence to company quality standards for all mechanical, electrical, structural and finish trades.
• Act as an “internal customer” prior to the homeowner orientation to ensure high levels of quality are delivered to our customers.
• Maintain quality assurance and provide warranty service to home owners after closing.
• Conduct scheduled periodic home warranty inspections at 30 days, 6 months and 12 months after closing, or as needed by the home owner.
• Document items needing repair during scheduled warranty inspections.
• Work with Customer Care Coordinators with scheduling appointments with home owners and requesting work orders for repairs.
• Educate home owners to use and operate their homes’ mechanical and electrical equipment, as needed, during scheduled inspections.
• Light sheetrock, paint, plumbing, electrical, etc. may be needed during the home warranty inspection.
• Ensure all warranty service requests are complete within a certain time period.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• 2-5+ years of experience in residential construction preferred but not required; other pertinent work experience will be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products; job requires use of an iPad and other programs to complete documents.
• Customer service background and a positive attitude are a must.
• Must have a strong work ethic and communication skills; the ability to handle confrontation in a professional manner is essential.
• High level of organizational skills, and acute attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid motor vehicle liability insurance are required; <90% travel required.
• Physical stamina is required because this position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, some climbing or balancing and carrying. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Position is often exposed to various weather conditions (especially heat), loud noise, and vibrations.
• Residency in one of the following states is a requirement for the position: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, or Texas.
