Job summary

The position is full-time, first shift, with overtime as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma and basic math, strong attention to detail, and good communication to document audits and report defects.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control/QA in manufacturing or food packaging preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP/HACCP or basic food safety standards is a strong plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document audits clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality checks on materials, packaging, and finished products along the production line.
• Verify product weights, measurements, seals, codes, and label accuracy against specifications.
• Identify, tag, and place on hold any non-conforming, defective, or out-of-spec products.
• Partner with production leads and machine operators to quickly correct quality or packaging issues.
• Complete accurate inspection logs, daily QA/QC reports, and audit paperwork.
• Ensure GMP, SOPs, and safety regulations are followed on the plant floor.
• Maintain and calibrate basic testing equipment and keep stations clean.

Job Description

Full Steam Staffing is hiring a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Control Tech to join our manufacturing and production operations team in Fresno, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, monitoring in-process production lines, testing finished goods, and ensuring all products meet strict quality and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality checks, audits, and testing on raw materials, packaging, and finished products along the production line
• Verify product weights, measurements, seals, codes, and label accuracy against specifications
• Identify, tag, and place on hold any non-conforming, defective, or out-of-spec products
• Partner with production leads and machine operators to quickly correct quality or packaging issues
• Complete accurate inspection logs, daily QA/QC reports, and audit paperwork
• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workplace safety regulations
• Maintain and calibrate basic testing equipment and keep testing stations clean and organized

Shift Schedule

Shift: 1st Shift (Day hours)

Days: Monday Friday

Requirements

Mandatory overtime and weekend shifts required based on operational needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in quality control, quality assurance, or inspection in a manufacturing, food processing, or packaging environment preferred
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, or basic food safety/quality standards is a strong plus
• High attention to detail, strong observational skills, and basic math ability
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting audits and reporting defects
• Ability to stand and walk on the plant floor for extended periods and lift up to 40 50 lbs as needed
• Reliable transportation and an excellent record of punctual attendance
