Job summary

Catalent is seeking an Associate Scientist II - Quality Control in Saint Petersburg, FL, on-site to perform finished product and in-process analyses under GMP guidelines. The role includes microbiological work, calibration of instruments, and maintaining accurate records while collaborating with manufacturing and QC teams.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and the ability to work with potent and teratogenic compounds, with shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree to qualify for the role.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Laboratory safety awareness and GMP compliance.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and lift up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Analyze finished products, in-process materials, fill moisture, raw materials, and cleaning verification per specs.
• Perform moisture testing, gas, water, and environmental sampling.
• Culture microorganisms and identify them using API and Gram Stain.
• Log samples into GLIMS and maintain notebooks and reports.
• Calibrate analytical equipment and maintain lab instruments.
• Handle hazardous waste per regulations and SOPs.
• Assist in writing or revising procedures and investigations.
• Work shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
