Johnson Matthey Plc, a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history, seeks a Quality Control Analyst to join the Smithfield, PA laboratory. You will perform analytical testing of materials and finished products to uphold quality standards and support sustainable technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field is required.
• Knowledge of chemical analysis, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with ICP and/or XRF analytical techniques is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a lab.
• Ability to maintain detailed records and communicate technical information clearly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products to support quality standards.
• Prepare chemical reagents and standards and ensure accurate sample preparation.
• Review analytical results, identify out-of-control conditions and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Support the introduction of new analytical methods and continuous improvement activities.
• Train colleagues on laboratory procedures while maintaining accurate quality documentation.
