Job summary

Card-Monroe Corp. in Chattanooga seeks a Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager to align our quality practices with ISO 9001 and drive process improvements that reduce cost, waste, and cycle time across engineering changes and production.

You’ll own RCCA/8D, COPQ reporting from Epicor data, lead kaizen events, build standard work and visual management, and partner with Engineering to improve manufacturability and design decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years in a quality and/or continuous improvement role in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Hands-on ISO 9001 experience and practical problem-solving.
• Proven kaizen/A3/problem-solving impact with measurable results.
• Experience partnering with engineering to improve manufacturability and design decisions.
• Comfortable pulling and interpreting data from an ERP system (Epicor experience a plus).

Responsibilities

• Align quality practices with ISO 9001 requirements and close gaps.
• Formalize document control, calibration, and internal audits built on Lean.
• Own control plans for new product introductions and engineering changes.
• Build COPQ reporting by job, product line, and root cause from ERP data.
• Lead RCCA/8D investigations and track closure to completion.
• Lead kaizen events and cross-functional CI projects across shop areas.
• Train area leads on problem-solving tools to sustain improvements.
• Partner with Manufacturing/Plant Manager to resolve floor quality issues.
