Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee product integrity and reliability. You will implement and manage the Quality System, interact with suppliers to ensure quality, and lead the Quality Department including weld technicians. You will develop work instructions, audits, and corrective actions.

The role emphasizes driving continuous improvement, data-driven decisions, and long-range quality strategy to meet customer expectations and reduce warranty issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control concepts, lean manufacturing and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods
• Knowledge/understanding of business and management principles for strategic planning and resource allocation
• Has 5 to 10 years related manufacturing experience and 5 years management experience
• Experience with ISO 9001:2008 and continuous improvement
• Ability to drive internal and external benchmarking and customer-focused improvements

Responsibilities

• Reports on the performance of the Quality System to management for review and improvement.
• Interacts with suppliers to ensure quality meets requirements of Wabash
• Leads the Quality Department and weld technicians, and supports Production Teams
• Develops work instructions and an internal auditing system
• Investigates customer complaints and reports on warranty metrics
• Defines and executes long-term quality system strategy
• Drives continuous improvement and real time process control
• Leads data collection to ensure shop floor process effectiveness
• Manages quality databases and systems
