Position Summary
The Quality and Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to federal, state, and accreditation standards. This position promotes a culture of quality, leading initiatives that enhance patient care, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness. The RN in this role will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring best practices are upheld and improvements are continually pursued.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quarterly readouts to the Board of Directors, facilitating discussions and approvals for QAPI initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and accreditation standards.
- Conduct audits and clinical documentation reviews, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to best practices.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement through monthly interdisciplinary meetings.
- Maintain and update documentation on compliance policies, procedures, and emergency preparedness.
- Provide training and support to staff on compliance requirements and best practices.
- Assist in onboarding new staff, educating them on regulatory standards and documentation requirements.
- Participate in root cause analyses and corrective action planning for adverse events and compliance issues.
- Support infection control and patient safety programs, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Prepare for regulatory surveys and accreditation visits.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in New Hampshire.
- Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in home health, hospice, or community-based care.
- Experience in quality assurance, compliance, or performance improvement preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and accreditation standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and data analysis tools.
