Job summary

IDEAL ELECTRIC COMPANY, a long-established American manufacturer, seeks a QMS & Compliance Manager to lead shop-floor quality and EHS programs. The role reports to Operations and spans design, manufacture, and service lifecycle, ensuring regulatory compliance across all processes.

The candidate will drive QMS integration, lead audits, CAPA, ITAR/CMMC controls, and continuous improvement while mentoring staff and maintaining strong customer-facing quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in quality leadership or management.
• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
• US citizenship required due to NOFORN/CUI constraints.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for shop-floor Production Quality and EHS programs.
• Manage ISO 9001:2015 QMS and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Develop, implement, and update QMS policies and audits.
• Lead internal/external quality audits and CAPA.
• Implement ITAR and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification controls.
• Maintain document control systems and engineering records.
• Monitor quality metrics and report to leadership.
• Lead management reviews for continual improvement.
• Mentor staff on quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Support customer audits and respond to inquiries.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate quality into operations.
• Maintain a visible on-floor presence to enforce standards.
