Job summary

WesBanco Bank Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Officer to oversee internal control testing, analyze data for anomalies, and drive remediation and automation across operations.

The role focuses on maintaining SOX control documentation, partnering with business lines, and enhancing scalability in a regulated banking environment. A bachelor’s degree is preferred with at least three years in banking operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
• Minimum of three years experience in banking, preferably in operations.
• Leadership skills required.
• Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude.
• Clear, concise written and oral communication skills to express thoughts to management, bank employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and develops staff in accordance with bank policies and applicable laws.
• Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; evaluates performance; addresses complaints and resolutions.
• Performs control testing, documents results, and maintains records to monitor control effectiveness.
• Collaborates with leaders to remediate deficiencies and drive process improvements.
• Tests and validates operational controls to ensure they are properly designed and functioning.
• Provides reports summarizing control effectiveness for management review and audits.
