Job summary

RENK America is seeking a Quality Manager to lead our quality management system at the Cincinnati site. The role ensures products and processes meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

You will drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, train staff on quality practices, and report to leadership on quality performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in Quality Management or Engineering with 6+ years QA/QM experience.
• Master's Degree preferred with 4+ years QA/QM experience.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Able to move freely within manufacturing facility.
• Experience meeting QMS requirements - ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent.
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge.

Responsibilities

Role Description:

The Quality Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cincinnati, OH. This role oversees the quality management system, ensuring that products and processes meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining quality culture, team building, and consistency across the organization. The Quality Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to improve quality performance, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction. Additional responsibilities may include training team members on quality practices, preparing documentation and reports for leadership, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Strong quality management skills, including experience with ISO or similar quality standards, quality planning, and process control.
• Proficiency with problem-solving and analytical tools (e.g., root cause analysis, CAPA, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making).
• Experience with audits, inspections, and compliance activities, including internal audits and customer or regulatory audits.
• Knowledge of manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably involving mechanical or drive train systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and present quality findings to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, prioritize multiple tasks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or related field with 6 years or more Quality Assurance / Quality Management role or equivalent (Required)
• Master's Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or related field with 4 years or more Quality Assurance / Quality Management role or equivalent (Preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to move freely without accommodation throughout the manufacturing facility
• Experience meeting Quality Management System requirements - ISO 9001, AS9100, or other equivalent industry standard.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma)
• Good Reading Skills
• Valid Driver's License for occasional travel

Skills:

• Advanced understanding of non-destructive testing methods as well as metrology
• Experiences in application of problem-solving methods (e.g. 5-Why, 8D, Ishikawa)
• Basic knowledge of the rules of marine classifications societies and other relevant standards (e.g. API)
• Extensive knowledge of production processes (e.g. casting, machining, etc.) throughout metal and CNC Machining manufacturing industry

Licenses & Certification:

• Auditor Certification acc. ISO9001 or equivalent
• Basics knowledge of regulations with regard to product liability and safety
