Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Quality CMM Inspector & Programmer/Operator to join an aerospace and defense manufacturing team in Tennessee. The role focuses on CMM programming, in-process and final inspections, GD&T application, and FAI documentation.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of aerospace quality inspection and CMM experience, with strong reading of blueprints and AS9100/AS9102 knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3+ years aerospace quality inspection experience.
• 3+ years CMM programming and operating experience.
• Strong understanding of GD&T.
• Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints.
• Experience with precision measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators).
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001 and ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CMM equipment using CMM Manager software.
• Perform in-process and final inspections on aerospace components.
• Measure parts accurately using CMMs, optical comparators, gauges, and precision measuring equipment.
• Complete First Article Inspections (FAI) and AS9102 Form 3 documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications, certificates, and revision levels.
• Interpret aerospace blueprints, 2D drawings, 3D models, and engineering documentation.
• Apply GD&T requirements to drawings and inspection processes.
• Create and review bubble drawings and inspection documentation.
• Create Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and inspection sheets.
• Document and communicate non-conformances, adjustments, and required rework.
• Verify CNC programming models and derivative drawings.
• Ensure inspected products meet customer and design specifications.
• Maintain accurate inspection and calibration records.

Fuze HR Solutions is hiring for an experienced Quality CMM Inspector & Programmer/Operator to join an established aerospace and defense manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with aerospace quality inspection experience who is comfortable with CMM programming, precision measurement, GD&T, and First Article Inspection (FAI).

Pay: $30.00–$45.00 per hour Based on experience and qualifications

Our client is a long-established aerospace and defense manufacturer specializing in precision machining, fabrication, stamping, and assembly. The company has a strong history in the industry and a growing pipeline of long-term contracts.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of aerospace quality inspection experience
• 3+ years of CMM programming and operating experience
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints
• Experience with precision measurement equipment, including:

• Micrometers
• Calipers
• Height gauges
• Optical comparators
• Other inspection tools

• Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI)
• Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, and ITAR
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• High school diploma required

Preferred:

• Experience with CMM Manager software
• Experience with Discus and Enovia
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Experience with Infor Visual ERP
• Additional quality, metrology, or aerospace training
• Training will be provided on company-specific software.
