Job summary

CPS, Inc. is seeking an independent Quality Chemist to oversee its Quality Management System and drive improvements across production.

You will apply strong chemical knowledge to troubleshoot processes, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to sustain compliance with ISO 9001 and customer specs. Responsibilities include leading audits, facilitating management reviews, and training staff on documentation standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in chemistry, engineering or related field.
• 2–5+ years in QA or QA engineering is expected.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and document control is preferred.
• Chemical manufacturing background is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and document control.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and plant-level QMS initiatives.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee internal audits and manage corrective actions.
• Prepare for customer quality audits and regulatory inspections.
• Train staff on GMP-like practices and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, and EHS on process controls.
