Quality Calibration/Inspector Technician

Join to apply for the Quality Calibration/Inspector Technician role at Buckeye Fire Equipment.

Overview: As a Calibration/Inspector, you will support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Your responsibilities include calibration of equipment, quality inspections, testing, data analysis, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Calibration and Maintenance (No Supervision):
  • Maintain and update calibration database.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment, handheld tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance of calibrated equipment.
  • Coordinate with external calibration service providers.
  • Prepare and maintain calibration schedules and logs.
  • Quality Inspections (No Supervision):
    • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of components and products.
    • Use measuring instruments and equipment to verify product conformity.
    • Perform functional testing of handheld extinguishers to UL requirements.
    • Identify and document non-conformities and defects.
    • Perform product testing and analyze results.
    • Collect samples and conduct tests (mechanical, electrical, chemical).
    • Analyze data for trends and improvements.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspection results and test data.
    • Communicate quality issues and assist in corrective actions.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
    • 1-2 years of calibration experience, preferably in an ISO 9001:2015 environment.
    • Experience with calibration equipment and tools.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality assurance principles.
    • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer skills.
