Job summary

US Farathane, based in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks an experienced Quality Auditor to support the Quality System through in-process audits and receiving/dock inspections. The role emphasizes maintaining quality documentation and adherence to OSHA safety procedures.

Essential duties include monitoring subcontractor data, performing inspections to customer specs, and upholding housekeeping and policy standards. Candidates must have a GED or equivalent, with strong math, reading, and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
• Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage. Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies
• Ability to read interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence, and to speak and present information effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to add positive and negative numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform Receiving Inspection and Dock Auditing as needed.
• Perform in-process inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.
• Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements.
• Monitor data received by sub-contractors for compliance to specifications as needed.
• Assist in sort operations as needed.
• Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
• Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality manual, associates handbooks, level II procedures, etc.).
• Maintain work area per housekeeping standards.
• Performs all other duties as requested by the Quality Manager.
