Job summary

Toledo Tool & Die is seeking a Quality Auditor for our 3rd shift in Toledo, Ohio. You will perform first/last piece audits, verify dimensions with gauges, and determine conformity to drawings and specifications.

The role offers a starting hourly wage of $19 plus a $1.50 shift premium, weekly pay, 10 paid holidays, and full benefits in a clean, safe manufacturing environment. Experience in a factory helps, but is not required; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime as

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months manufacturing experience in quality is preferred.
• Ability to read gauges and measurements like micrometers and dial indicators.
• Must be able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions to specs.
• Authority to accept or reject finished items.
• Inspect, test or measure metal stampings and weld in Weld Dept if required.
• Input and report audit data into software programs.
• Organize and maintain check fixture area.
• Interpret drawings to determine quality standards.
• Red Tag nonconforming parts and separate good from suspect.
• Perform essential Press Operator duties during downtimes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist.

• 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Key Responsibilites

• Perform First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges and dial indicators.
• Authority to accept or reject finished items.
• Inspect, test or measure metal stampings being produced. Weld destruct if in the Weld Department.
• Input and/or report data generated from audits and other sources as needed into various software programs.
• Organize and maintain check fixture area.
• Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams or confers with other TTD Management to determine quality & reliability standards.
• Red Tag containers that have nonconforming parts and establish clean point in production between good and suspect product.
• Perform the essential job functions of Press Operator when significant downtime is present.
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or TTD Management representatives.
• Authority to stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
• Six (6) months previous manufacturing experience, preferably in the quality function that displays progressive work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment is required. Preferably with a metal stampings background in an OEM or Tier I/II supplier in the automotive environment.
• Knowledge and application of Quality Systems, such as IATF 16949 is preferred.
• Proficiency in various Microsoft Programs, such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret information from gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges and dial indicators.
• Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Report to work on time to support production startup.
• Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds.
• Work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity.
