Job summary

Toledo Tool & Die is seeking a Quality Auditor for our 2nd shift in Toledo, OH. This full-time role focuses on accurate inspections of finished parts using precision gauges and inspection equipment.

You will decide on acceptance or rejection, maintain audit records, and support production with timely quality feedback while upholding safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Six months manufacturing experience preferred, in quality or automotive environments.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems (IATF 16949) preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel).
• Ability to read gauges and measurement devices.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and related gauges.
• Decide to accept or reject finished items based on quality checks.
• Inspect metal stampings and weld areas as needed.
• Enter audit data into software and maintain records.
• Interpret engineering drawings and coordinate with management on standards.
• Stop production if unsafe or poor quality conditions exist.

• 2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm
• *Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) *

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges and dial indicators.
• Authority to accept or reject finished items.
• Inspect, test or measure metal stampings being produced. Weld destruct if in the Weld Department.
• Input and/or report data generated from audits and other sources as needed into various software programs.
• Organize and maintain check fixture area.
• Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams or confers with other TTD Management to determine quality & reliability standards.
• Red Tag containers that have nonconforming parts and establish clean point in production between good and suspect product.
• Perform the essential job functions of Press Operator when significant downtime is present.
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or TTD Management representatives.
• Authority to stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
• Six (6) months previous manufacturing experience, preferably in the quality function that displays progressive work‑related skill, knowledge, or experience in a fast-paced, high‑volume manufacturing environment is required. Preferably with a metal stampings background in an OEM or Tier I/II supplier in the automotive environment.
• Knowledge and application of Quality Systems, such as IATF 16949 is preferred.
• Proficiency in various Microsoft Programs, such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret information from gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges and dial indicators.
• Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Report to work on time to support production startup.
• Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds.
• Work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity.
