Toledo Tool & Die is seeking a Quality Auditor for our 2nd shift in Toledo, Ohio. The role emphasizes first/last piece audits, checking gauges, and ensuring parts meet specifications. Overtime may be required; starting pay is $19.00/hour with a $1.50 shift premium and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months manufacturing experience preferred in quality roles.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems (IATF 16949) preferred.
• Must be able to work in the United States.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Able to read and interpret gauges and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform first/last piece audits to verify dimensions using calipers and micrometers.
• Accept or reject finished items based on quality.
• Inspect metal stampings and related processes; intervene in welding if needed.
• Enter audit data into software systems and report findings.
• Maintain organized check fixture area.
• Interpret drawings and communicate with management on quality standards.
• Tag nonconforming items and segregate them from good products.
• May perform press operator duties during downtime.
• Stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality are observed.

• 2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00 PM
• *Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) *

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges and dial indicators.
• Authority to accept or reject finished items.
• Inspect, test or measure metal stampings being produced. Weld destruct if in the Weld Department.
• Input and/or report data generated from audits and other sources as needed into various software programs.
• Organize and maintain check fixture area.
• Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams or confers with other TTD Management to determine quality & reliability standards.
• Red Tag containers that have nonconforming parts and establish clean point in production between good and suspect product.
• Perform the essential job functions of Press Operator when significant downtime is present.
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or TTD Management representatives.
• Authority to stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
• Six (6) months previous manufacturing experience, preferably in the quality function that displays progressive work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment is required. Preferably with a metal stampings background in an OEM or Tier I/II supplier in the automotive environment.
• Knowledge and application of Quality Systems, such as IATF 16949 is preferred.
• Proficiency in various Microsoft Programs, such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret information from gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges and dial indicators.
• Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Report to work on time to support production startup.
• Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds.
• Work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity.
