Job summary

Conagra Brands in Wisconsin seeks a quality auditor to support plant programs by auditing processes, reviewing docs, and verifying materials meet standards. You will maintain sample retention, ensure accurate documentation, and communicate issues to production leadership.

The role involves supporting investigations into deviations, maintaining quality records, and assisting with internal audits to uphold food safety programs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree or certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in a quality or food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with quality systems and basic microbiological concepts preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and strong math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Audit in-process materials, finished goods, ingredients, and supplies for spec compliance.
  • Review specifications and production docs, including certificates of analysis.
  • Identify non-conforming conditions and communicate to production leadership.
  • Help investigations into quality deviations and root causes.
  • Maintain quality records, deviation reports, and summaries.
  • Input data into systems to ensure traceable quality records.
  • Verify data accuracy before escalating concerns.
  • Assist production teams in resolving quality issues and ensure procedures adherence.
  • Participate in internal audits and quality systems compliance.
  • Perform additional projects to support plant quality objectives.

Job description

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, you will support plant quality programs by auditing processes, reviewing documentation, and verifying that in-process materials, finished products, ingredients, and manufacturing supplies meet established standards. You will support the sample retain program through proper tracking and organization of retained samples, while ensuring accurate documentation and communicating any non-conforming conditions to production and leadership teams.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 2pm - 10:30pm

A Taste of Your Responsibilities
  • Perform audits of in-process materials, finished goods, ingredients, and manufacturing supplies to ensure compliance with product specifications and food safety standards
  • Review product specifications and compare them to production documentation, including certificate of analysis documentation
  • Identify and communicate non-conforming conditions, including out-of-specification or out-of-code situations, to production and supervision
  • Support investigations into quality deviations and help identify root causes and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including quality records, deviation reports, and weekly and monthly summaries
  • Input and maintain data in systems to ensure permanent and traceable quality records
  • Verify accuracy of data and documentation prior to escalating concerns
  • Support production teams in resolving quality issues, including auditing operator practices and verifying adherence to procedures
  • Participate in internal audits and support compliance with quality systems and food safety programs
  • Perform additional assignments and projects as needed to support plant quality objectives
Ingredients Required for Your Success
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree or additional certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality or food manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with quality systems in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety practices, quality standards, and basic microbiological concepts preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word
  • Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Skilled in interpreting specifications, data, and measurements
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Physical Requirements

More information on the essential tasks and facility will be shared during the hiring process. Please be aware that in a manufacturing environment, the noise levels can be high and the temperatures may vary. Depending on the role, physical and environmental requirements can differ but include:

  • Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.
  • Performing consistent repetitive tasks.
  • Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials.

Compensation

Pay Range:$51,000-$67,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
