Job summary

National Beef Leathers of St. Joseph, Missouri, is seeking a Night Shift Quality Assurance Auditor to join our team. This on-site role offers a 3½ day work week with a 4-week rotation, competitive wages, and benefits.

You will monitor product quality, document samples, and communicate quality concerns with Production leadership while supporting a safe workplace and PPE compliance.

Qualifications

• Must read and write in English.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience in tannery or QA.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
• Able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with data entry.

Responsibilities

• Input quality attributes and monitor product quality throughout production.
• Communicate quality concerns, trends, and issues with Production personnel and leadership.
• Collect, evaluate, and document daily samples.
• Promote and support a safe work environment, including PPE compliance.
• Provide departmental coverage as needed.
• Participate in cross-training and become proficient in all QA functions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Knowledgeable in Hide Brand Sortation.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Input quality attributes and monitor product quality throughout the production process
• Communicate quality concerns, trends, and issues with Production personnel and leadership

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in English
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience in a tannery or a previous Quality Assurance position
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays
