Job summary

National Beef Leathers of St. Joseph, Missouri, is seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Night Shift Quality Assurance Auditor. This on-site position offers a 3 ½ day work week with a 4-week rotation, competitive pay, and benefits, with a stable, supportive work environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring product quality, documenting daily samples, communicating quality concerns to leadership, and maintaining accurate records while upholding PPE and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience in tannery or QA preferred.
• Basic computer literacy and durability for standing and lifting.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Input quality attributes and monitor product quality throughout the production process.
• Communicate quality concerns, trends, and issues with Production personnel and leadership.
• Collect, evaluate, and document daily samples.
• Promote and support a safe work environment, including PPE compliance.
• Provide departmental coverage as needed.
• Participate in cross-training and become proficient in all Quality Assurance functions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Knowledgeable in Hide Brand Sortation.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Auditor responsibilities include but are not limited to

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in English
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience in a tannery or a previous Quality Assurance position
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays
