Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a QA training specialist to complete department-focused training focused on food quality, safety, and regulatory compliance with S.O.P.s, FSIS, Animal Welfare, and GFSI requirements.

You will progress toward higher-level QA positions while working with supervision and teammates in live receiving, storage, picking, and evisceration areas, gaining understanding of how to execute tasks accurately.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow directions and training; willingness to learn advanced skills.
  • Familiarity with computers and basic software.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the production process to ensure product meets specifications.
  • Calibrate tools and equipment; perform technical projects and training.
  • Perform and record regulatory, SSOP, SOP, and Quality Attribute testing.
  • Coordinate time management to perform tasks and participate in training.
  • Follow all safety regulations and SOPs, supporting the company goals.

Primary Purpose

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Monitor the production process, which assures that the product meets the establishment specifications. When product doesn't meet specifications, inform the supervisor immediately and take appropriate steps.
  • Calibrate tools and equipment. Perform technical special projects and assignments. Train and cross-train.
  • Perform and record regulatory, SSOP, SOP, and Quality Attribute testing and checks; communicate results to management.
  • Coordinate time management to perform tasks, participate in training and development to increase competency and commitment.
  • Follow all Company safety regulations and S.O.P.s, as well as support Goal Zero mission statement.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must be able to follow directions/training. Advanced training will be provided to increase competencies.
  • Must be familiar with computers.
