Job summary

Mountaire Farms in Millsboro, DE is seeking an entry-level rendering operator. This role supports routine operations while working toward certification in one of five rendering areas and demonstrates basic theory, practical knowledge, and safety awareness.

The position runs Sunday through Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, work independently, and follow safety policies. Knowledge of equipment operation for animal protein production is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must possess the appropriate certification to operate a forklift and/or skid steer loaders.
• Must be able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of safety policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment involved in the production of animal proteins and fat.
• Monitor and oversee the cooking process, collection of samples and testing of product to ensure Quality Assurance specifications are met.
• Monitor environmental equipment to ensure that compliance is met and to be able to operate a forklift and skid steer loaders.
• Follow all company safety policies, S.O.P. regulations, as well as support the Goal Zero mission statement.
