Base pay range

$40.00/hr - $47.00/hr

Join our client's team supporting a State Health Insurance Exchange program as a Functional QA Tester. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of mission‑critical systems that help individuals access health insurance. The position emphasizes manual testing and requires strong analytical and communication skills. This role requires you work PST hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional and regression testing, with approximately 80% of work focused on manual testing of Mainframe and Java‑based applications.
• Develop, execute, and document detailed test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on business and technical requirements.
• Identify, report, and track defects; collaborate with development and business teams to resolve issues.
• Validate system functionality, data integrity, and business rules for state eligibility and enrollment processes.
• Participate in requirement reviews, test planning, and status meetings.
• Ensure compliance with project standards and timelines.

Required Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in manual testing, particularly with Mainframe and Java applications.
• Strong understanding of functional QA methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with state eligibility systems or health insurance exchange programs.
• Familiarity with government or healthcare IT environments.

Compensation

$40/hr to $47/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
