Job summary

Peer Consulting Resources is seeking an experienced QA Tester to support NYPD for NG911 upgrades including Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3. The role emphasizes quality assurance for Logging and Recording applications and CAD systems.

The candidate will review vendor test plans, develop and execute manual and automated test scripts, validate system functionality, track defects, and prepare clear test documentation and reports. Onsite, 35 hours per week during normal business hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years QA analysis experience in a public safety environment.
• Hands-on QA with Logging & Recording apps and CAD testing.
• Experience developing and executing manual and automated test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, vendor test plans, and scripts; suggest test-coverage improvements.
• Test Logging and Recording applications and support CAD testing.
• Perform functional, system, integration, database validation, CRUD and performance testing.
• Participate in ATP, SAT, UAT, and SIT activities where applicable.
• Document test results, report defects, and coordinate with stakeholders.

Peer Consulting Resources is hiring for a client seeking an experienced QA Tester to support NYPD

NG911 upgrades, including Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, and call-handling capabilities. The role focuses on quality assurance for Logging and Recording applications and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.

The selected candidate will review vendor test plans, develop and execute manual and automated test scripts, validate system functionality, track defects, and prepare clear test documentation and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Review requirements, vendor test plans, and scripts; recommend improvements to test coverage.
• Test Logging and Recording applications and support CAD testing.
• Perform functional, system, integration, database validation, CRUD, and performance testing.
• Participate in applicable ATP, SAT, UAT, and SIT activities.
• Document test results, report and track defects, and coordinate with project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of QA analysis experience in a public safety communications environment (mandatory).
• Hands-on QA experience with Logging and Recording applications and testing of CAD systems.
• Experience developing and executing manual and automated test scripts.
• Knowledge of ATP, SAT, UAT, and SIT, with experience in functional, system, integration, database validation, and performance testing.
• Experience testing NG911 systems, NYPD Class 2 projects, or NICE Inform is preferred.

Work arrangement

• Onsite
• Monday–Friday (35 hours per week during normal business hours)
