Traylor Bros., Inc. in the United States is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support inspection, testing, and quality systems on tunneling projects.

You will help manage inventory, implement and maintain the QC Plan, and assist with QC/QA project management while supporting technical staff. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3–5 years of quality control experience, with ability to travel for training and site visits.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Plans and directs activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
• Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
• Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
• Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
• Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing the product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
• Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
• May manage quality control program.
• Inventory management.
• Selecting the best techniques for a given process, determining the level of quality, and taking the appropriate steps to maintain or improve the quality of the process, if necessary.
• Set up practices to monitor and control quality; however, other factors must be considered, such as effectiveness, cost, and productivity.
• Apply substantive expertise during pre-bid, construction, and post-construction phases of a project by working with plants/materials, construction, sales and estimating teams to ensure quality standards and project profitability are achieved.
• Evaluate proposed courses of action for safety, contract compliance, and profitability and propose alternative courses of action where appropriate
• Comply with OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations in order to perform duties in a safe manner.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.
