Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support production by conducting QC inspections, post-production checks, and adherence to quality standards. The role involves identifying risks and working with managers to implement improvements, while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the department.

Responsibilities include coordinating with production, customer service, and engineering to address quality concerns, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with food packaging

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance.
• Regularly required to sit, stand or walk for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Good computer skills are required.
• Great communication skills—verbal and written; must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out QC inspections on components manufactured on all production machines as required.
• Ensure that all customer specific QC Inspections are completed.
• Carry out post-production quality checks as required.
• Identify process and product risks and report to area management.
• Identify opportunities for improvement to supervisor, analyst or manager.
• Comply with all area work instruction and personal hygiene requirements.
• Liaise with department managers and shift supervisors on quality-related production problems.
• Determine disposition of suspect product produced.
• Co-operate in internal and external audits as required.
• Ensure department safety and cleanliness.
