Job summary

Dawn Foods in Denver, CO is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician I to perform daily quality activities in the plant, including process audits, GMP audits, and lab testing to ensure ingredients and finished goods meet specifications. The role supports a safe, compliant production environment and uses basic lab tools during routine testing.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of related experience, and basic lab skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience supporting plants and food quality programs.
• Science or lab background preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and procedures.
• Problem solving in variable situations.
• Ability to work with others and independently.
• Knowledge of basic lab equipment and math/record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and tests products in process or lab to ensure specifications are met and records discrepancies.
• Checks calibration of measuring equipment and operation of metal detectors; reports problems.
• Performs formula and process audits and documents results.
• Follows food safety and quality programs (GMP, Food Safety Plan) and reports issues.
• Performs environmental swabbing as scheduled.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Investigates out-of-compliance products.
• Supports a safe, inclusive work environment with respect for all.
• Works around allergens such as nuts in a production setting.
