Netpace Inc. is seeking a QA Technician II for our Denver, CO dairy facility. You will conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished milk products, monitor production processes, and perform tests to verify compliance with quality standards.

You'll document findings, report issues, and implement corrective actions while supporting GMP, SOPs, and food safety regulations. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and flexibility for occasional overtime on a 1st shift 4x10 schedule.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of QA experience.
  • Background in food production preferred; microbiology or chemical lab experience acceptable.
  • Familiar with GMP, SOPs and HACCP/food safety.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on a 1st shift schedule.

Responsibilities

QA Technician II
Location: Denver, CO 80216
Payrate for role $29.00 per hour / W2 Contract
Shift: 1st shift 4x10 - Sunday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (10am - 8pm) Candidate must be open for occasional overtime if needed.
As a Flex Shift Quality Assurance Lab Tech at our milk plant, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products. Your duties will include conducting inspections of raw materials, monitoring production processes, and performing various tests to verify compliance with quality standards. You'll also be tasked with documenting findings, reporting any issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will play a crucial role in improving our reputation for delivering top-quality milk products to our customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished milk products.
  • Perform regular inspections of production processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor and document equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address any quality-related issues promptly.
  • Evaluate trends from test results and communicate these trends to employees and management.
  • Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food Safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as needed.
  • Record and analyze data and prepare reports on quality metrics. Ensure that daily records are kept and maintained.
  • Drive continuous improvement, assist in the discipline to maintain a 6-S rating of an "A ".
  • Follow-up customer complaints and follow-up with production.
  • Implement quality control processes/testing to meet the expectations of Safeway quality standards and ensure that the product(s) are within specification.
  • Any other project assigned.
What We Are Searching For
  • Bachelor's degree preferable. High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of QA experience.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or a similar role in food production is preferred
  • however candidates with microbology or chemical laboratory experience are acceptable.
  • Strong mindfulness and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulations preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and duties as they relate to food safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Flexibility to work the specified shift and occasionally on weekends if required.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to multi-task in fast paced environment with limited supervision.
  • Proficient in window-based PC programs.
  • Lab Test Equipment/Maintenance preferred.
  • Some knowledge of HACCP/Food Safety preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
