Job summary

You will perform daily sanitation tests, monitor hygiene, and assist with food safety programs for GFSI audits. The role includes GMP and food safety inspections, with clerical duties and general labor as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic math and literacy required.
• Basic computer operation skills.
• Knowledge of USA FSMA, CDC, EPA and FDA.
• Understanding of HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor packaging to ensure correct labeling and date coding.
• Hold questionable product and advise on corrections with QA manager guidance.
• Perform daily tests and swabs to verify sanitation standards.
• Observe hygiene and sanitation procedures among staff.
• Assist in maintaining food safety programs for audits.
• Conduct GMP inspections and food safety inspections as directed.
• Observe cutting operations for size and appearance compliance.
• Test for environmental microbial hazards and other safety checks.
• Perform clerical tasks and general labor as assigned.
