Job summary

Milo’s Tea Company is seeking a Quality Technician I to uphold our strict quality standards in production. You will sample products, run tests, and monitor GMP/SQF compliance daily to ensure safety and consistency.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree (or equivalent) and experience with food safety testing, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office. This role offers growth with a People First culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Food Science, or Chemistry preferred.
• Three years of related experience and/or training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all products are produced per Milo’s quality standards.
• Obtain samples for bacteria plating and daily quality checks as needed.
• Monitor compliance with GMP or SQF requirements.
• Ensure Food Safety and Food Quality compliance as directed.
• Maintain laboratory/testing equipment and perform calibrations per schedule.
• Assist with the receipt of raw ingredients and sample, test and review.
• Monitor FIFO and communicate concerns to the QA Manager.
• Perform testing and document weights, volumes, colors, codes, packaging integrity.
• Perform environmental testing of air, water, and bacteria according to schedules.
• Collect and prepare samples for shipment as needed.
• Uphold and participate in Milo’s Responsibility commitments including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
• This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.

Education

Associate degree or equivalent

Bachelor's degree in Biology/Food Science/Chemistry (preferred)
