Position Purpose:

The individual in this role will ensure that products manufactured at Lindt & Sprungli USA meet or exceed standards for quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. This involves developing, following, and improving audit processes, policies, and procedures, as well as interpreting and enforcing policies to support quality and food safety. The role includes reviewing documents for compliance, reporting, and collaborating with manufacturing, purchasing, R&D, and QA teams.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Ensure Quality Standards

• Sample and test raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards, including analytical, sensory, and microbiological testing.
• Perform analytical laboratory functions at the main production facility and serve as backup for the cocoa liquor facility.
• Release products and manage non-conformances.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Manage sample retention for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
• Support the implementation of new equipment and technologies, including validation and verification activities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and third-party quality and food safety standards.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain proper documentation, including inspection reports and records, ensuring transparency and compliance.
• Communicate test results and ensure timely disposition of raw materials and products.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Manufacturing to enforce quality standards, manage non-conformance processes, and communicate with stakeholders.

General

• Cross-train QA Technicians in basic analytical tests.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and manage inventory and ordering of consumables.
• Assist with QA and R&D projects as needed.
• Participate in Lindt Production Way (LPW) teams.
