Description:Responsible for inspecting and monitoring Food safety and Quality systems of all plant processes to ensure that ingredients, in-process items and finished products meet food safety and quality specifications in compliance with company’s policies and procedures. The shift for this position is Monday through Friday from 3pm to 12:30am.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in this job description are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: Entry level position or 1 - 2 years of Cheese manufacturing or similar food manufacturing experience preferred. Knowledge of one of the following is desirable: Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and Security principles, HACCP and FSMA requirements. Bilingual English – Spanish a plus.
Skills Required: Computer knowledgeable in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiar with measuring physical testing devices such as, pH meter, moisture analyzer, Water activity, etc. Must be willing to work in a team-based environment.

Equipment Skills:Employee should be able to evaluate ingredients/products and monitoring temperature with thermometers.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to move or lift merchandise; Hot and cold environment (picking food items from the refrigeration rooms/freezer). The noise level in the work environment may be within the safe range (less than 90 decibels).
