Job summary

Amcor in Dallas, TX is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform visual and precision inspections of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods to ensure conformance to customer specifications.

The role is 2nd shift (3 PM–11 PM) and involves documenting results, handling customer certifications, assisting audits, and supporting corrective actions while educating production staff on QC procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; chemistry education preferred
• 1 year manufacturing experience with quality responsibility
• Strong accuracy in testing and ability to use standard test procedures
• Proficient with basic computer systems and office software
• Good communication skills across levels within the organization

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process, and finished goods for defects and tolerances per specs
• Document inspection results in predefined formats
• Inventory and retest customer returns and relay information throughout the org
• Prepare customer certifications and verify process capability
• Assist in corrective/preventive actions based on test results
• Educate production personnel on QC procedures
• Support in quality audits by customers
• Write procedures as directed
• Operate rework equipment to spec when needed
