Description

Zink is Hiring 2 QA Technicians.

Day Shift: Monday through Thursday 6:30 am to 5 pm

Night Shift: Monday through Thursday 5 pm to 3:30 am

The QA Technician position follow quality plans and procedures, examine products and materials, and verifies that company and customer compliance standards are being met. QA technicians ensure that quality standards are being followed. This position ensures the quality and integrity of all Zink products produced for distribution. QA Technicians monitor processes, procedures, and product manufactured to ensure consistency, to meet or exceed customer expectations and to comply with our polices and standards to reduce defects before they reach the customer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform production floor inspections/audits and ensure corrections are made if product is out of spec.
  • Verify Batch Tickets match work being performed in production.
  • Inspect visually and physically all Zink media to ensure that it is manufactured to Customer specifications
  • Be willing to be cross trained in various areas of product testing against specifications and rotated from those areas by as directed.
  • Report discrepancies with media and product specifications or process procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Maintain regular & predictable attendance.
  • Work closely with others in a team environment to meet safety, quality and production goals.
  • Interface with existing computer systems: Email, PC applications (Word & Excel), BME, Paycom, IBM Lotus Notes, and lab systems.
  • Occasional physical and / or mechanical movement of materials manually and with pallet jacks.
  • Wearing the appropriate PPE in production areas visited during the day.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Thursday, Hours of work for 1st shift is 6:30 am to 5pm and 2nd shift is 5 pm to 3:30 am. Fridays may be required based on the department’s workload in support of customer product releases.
