Job summary

Centro, Inc. in North Carolina seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Technician to lead and mentor the QA team, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance. You will train staff, address quality concerns, and work with Production and Engineering to drive continuous improvement.

The role involves coordinating audits, QARs, containment, investigations, and maintaining quality records. Travel may be required to suppliers or customers, and the position offers exposure to calibration and warranty

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to learn and apply quality assurance techniques.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with computers and applicable quality assurance and SPC software.
  • Ability to use quality and inspection equipment such as calipers, height gauges, scales, ultrasound thickness gauges, drop testers, and other related equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality Assurance Team Leader in achieving departmental goals and quality objectives.
  • Train and mentor new and experienced QA Technicians on Centro’s Quality System and quality tools.
  • Provide quality-related training and support to Production team members as needed.
  • Perform Quality Technician responsibilities when necessary.
  • Initiate and support Quality Action Reports (QARs), corrective and preventive actions, customer complaint investigations, containment activities, and returned product analysis.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, including inspection and audit results, gage records, corrective and preventive actions, and project documentation.
  • Maintain electronic quality records and databases, including data entry, reporting, and analysis.
  • Calculate statistics and prepare quality reports.
  • Review products, processes, and systems and recommend improvements.
  • Support customer concerns and complaints when authorized.
  • Complete QMS, ISO 9001, Layered Process, and other required audits.
  • Work independently on ongoing and special quality projects.
  • Potentially serve as a calibration coordinator or warranty administrator based on business needs.
  • Travel to customers or suppliers when required.

Join Our Quality Team

Centro, Inc. is looking for an experienced and detail-orientedQuality Assurance Technician to join our Quality Assurance team.

In this role, you’ll play an important part in ensuring our products, manufacturing processes, and quality systems meet established requirements. You’ll work closely with Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering, and other team members to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve quality concerns, maintain accurate quality records, and support our customers.

This is also a hands-on leadership and mentoring opportunity. The Senior Quality Assurance Technician serves as a resource for QA Technicians and Production team members, provides training on quality systems and tools, and may step in for the QA Team Leader when authorized.
