Job summary

Quality Refrigerated Services, Inc. is hiring a Quality / HACCP Technician in Iowa. No experience is required; we will train the right candidate and provide full support to help you start your career in a dynamic work environment.

You will perform in-process and final product testing, complete CCPs, SSOPs, SOPs and GMPs, and adjust procedures to schedules and customer requests. Basic math, MS Office, and inventory software may be used, with safety rules followed at all times.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Ability to apply basic math in daily tasks.
• Follows SOPs, GMPs and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process product testing per government, customer, and facility requirements.
• Conduct final product testing and lab preparation as required.

The Quality / HACCP Technician must be flexible and able to adjust work procedures/hours to meet testing schedules, production needs, and customer requests including all facility audits.

The employee must be able to apply mathematical skills to include and not be limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Practical use of computer programs such as Microsoft Office, and inventory management programs may apply. Use reasoning obtained from their knowledge and training to perform their job and problem solve without direct supervision.

The Quality / HACCP Technician have the final responsibility for completing and/or verifying of the following tasks.

• In process product testing required by government agencies, customers, auditors, and /or facility requirements.
• Final product testing and/or outside lab preparation as required by government agencies, customers, auditors, and /or facility requirements.
• Completes daily of all CCP’s, SSOP’s, SOP’s, GMP’s, and any other applicable program monitoring. Verification will be a combination of records review and direct observation.

Equipment:

• After required training general employees may be required to complete some or all of the following tasks daily or when needed; metal detectors, knife use, 2-way radios, thermometers, knives, fat testing equipment, and electric conveyors.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to verbally understand and execute work Instructions.
• The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 60 pounds.
• Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• The work environment characteristic described here is typical and or representative of what the employee may encounter during the work shift.
• Exposures to temperatures of an average of 38 to 28 degrees depending on the work assignment.
• The employee may encounter wet floors, damp areas, and meat(blood, fat) during the work shift.

Starting pay $18.00/hr
