Job summary

Simmons Animal Nutrition, Inc. seeks a QA Tech for 2nd shift in Quakertown, PA to support the facility's quality assurance program. The role involves in-plant analysis, data entry, and collaboration with R&D to ensure product specifications are current.

The candidate should have a High School diploma and preferably a science-related degree; QA/QC experience and HACCP/GMP familiarity are a plus. Limited travel, PPE use, and a salary-exempt environment may apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s or 2-year degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field preferred.
• Some Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience preferred.
• HACCP principles and plant GMPs knowledge beneficial.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Gmail.

Responsibilities

• Supports the overall facility quality assurance program and the specialized positions within the department.
• Conducts in-plant analysis and audits of production/quality records as directed by the Quality Manager.
• Collects samples for post-process evaluation and external laboratory analysis as required.
• Inputs data and creates reports to communicate information to other departments.
• Participates in team activities and collaborates to improve practices and policies.
