Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a quality assurance professional to support the facility QA program. The role involves in-plant analysis, sample collection for post-process evaluation, and reporting deviations to the Quality Manager.

You will manage data inputs, run reports, and ensure compliance with Finished Goods and Raw Material analyses. The position requires knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and laboratory procedures, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s or 2-year degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field; or some college science courses.
• Some college-level science courses (e.g., general chemistry) are beneficial.
• Working knowledge of HACCP principles and GMPs in a plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts in-plant analysis and facility audits of production/quality records.
• Collects samples for post-process measurements and external laboratory analysis.
• Reports deviations to the Quality Manager and maintains sample libraries.
• Enters data and generates reports; uses Word/Excel to communicate findings.
• Maintains sampling program and reviews Finished Goods and Raw Material analyses.
• Collaborates with R&D to ensure accurate product specifications.
