Job description

Summary

The primary responsibility of the Quality Assurance Supervisor is to ensure that all production processes are monitored for quality policies and procedures, documented, and results are communicated to production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Support and ensure that Allen Harim's vision, mission, and values policies are adhered to.
  2. Responsible for the safety and health of employees, which includes but is not limited to, safety and health awareness and training, accident prevention and incident investigations, and safe work practices.
  3. Maintain and train QA and HACCP technicians to ensure that all quality issues are covered.
  4. Ensure that QA Technicians are assigned to monitor production processes and products for quality factors.
  5. Establish effective communications between QA and other departments, including U.S.D.A.
  6. Maintain complete and accurate records as required.
  7. Prepare customer samples as requested and monitor the product being produced for new customers.
  8. Monitor rework to ensure that product is processed in a timely manner, packaged properly, and in good condition.
  9. Manage sanitation monitoring beginning at 03:30am through 07:30am each morning.
  10. Prepare all reports as required by QA Manager.
  11. Promote a "Quality" attitude throughout the processing environment.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Knowledge/Skills

College Degree plus one year Quality Assurance experience OR High School Diploma plus three years Quality Assurance experience (Poultry or Food Industry experience preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must become HACCP certified.
Knowledge of computers and good organizational skills.
Promote a Quality attitude.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Handles all routine situations independently. Refers non-routine situations to the QA Manager. Supervise QA and HACCP Technicians on shift.
