Job description

A growing Fortune 100 food distribution company located in the Newark area is currently seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor to work on their dayshift.

1. Qualifications:
2. High School Diploma or equivalent
3. Minimum of 4 years of transportation experience in the distribution or trucking industries, including in-depth knowledge of DOT regulations
4. At least 2 years in a supervisory role supervising OTR drivers and dispatchers
5. Experience with computerized fleet management systems such as Omitracs/RoadNet, Samsara, or XATA, plus SmartDrive or PeopleNet
6. Active Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

The successful candidate will be part of a team of 7-8 supervisors overseeing 175-195 drivers. A proactive approach, strong service ethic, and leadership by example are essential. Experience in foodservice distribution is highly preferred.
