Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in a quality assurance laboratory preferred; especially in food manufacturing.
• Ability to communicate in English clearly, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates QA technicians to satisfy external and internal customers.
• Interfaces with internal departments to ensure QA standards are met.
• Solves problems with teammates and management to resolve QA and food safety issues.
• Develops understanding of QA principles, testing, and equipment; basic maintenance capability.
• Ensures QA team has resources; orders items as needed.
• Coaches and trains QA technicians and teammates from other departments.
• Counsels, evaluates, and disciplines teammates as needed.
• Attends meetings and professional seminars as needed.
• Uses data to develop and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Communicates by phone or email with internal and external customers.
• Reviews and signs off on production, quality, and CCP records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
