Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support our QA program with inspections, documentation, testing, and compliance activities. This role collaborates with operations, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure quality standards are met according to company procedures and industry requirements.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or technical certification, 1–5 years in QA, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification preferred; relevant work experience also considered.
• 1–5 years in quality assurance, quality control, or related fields preferred.
• Experience reading engineering and fabrication drawings and inspection reports.
• ASQ certification (CQT/CQI) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ISO 9001 and NQA-1 compliance.
• Perform and document inspections, audits, and testing activities.
• Maintain quality records, reports, and QA documentation.
• Review project documentation to identify quality requirements.
• Support QA procedures and work instructions.
• Participate in internal and external audits and corrective actions.
• Verify work is performed per procedures and specs.
• Assist with calibration tracking of inspection/testing equipment.
• Maintain training and qualification records for QA personnel.
• Communicate findings and help resolve nonconformances.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
