Job summary

Barnhart-Crane- is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support its QA program by assisting inspections, testing, and documentation on active projects. The role collaborates with operations, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure adherence to company procedures and industry standards.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or technical certification with 1–5 years in QA or related fields, and can read engineering drawings and prepare quality documentation. ASQ certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or relevant work experience preferred.
• 1-5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or a related field preferred.
• ASQ certification (CQT, CQI, or similar) is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ISO 9001 and NQA-1 compliance activities.
• Perform and document inspections, audits, and testing.
• Maintain QA records, reports, certifications, and other QA documentation.
• Review job and project documentation to identify applicable quality requirements.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance procedures and work instructions.
• Participate in internal and external audits and assist with corrective action follow-up activities.
• Verify that quality-related work is performed in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
• Assist with calibration tracking and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment.
• Support the maintenance of training and qualification records for personnel performing quality-related work.
• Communicate quality-related findings and assist in resolving nonconformance issues.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
