Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support ISO 9001 and NQA-1 compliance, perform inspections, audits, and document QA activities. You will review project docs, maintain QA records, and assist with corrective actions while collaborating with operations and fabrication teams.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years in QA, reads engineering drawings, and is proficient in Microsoft Office and IFS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 1–5 years of quality assurance experience preferred.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, inspection reports, or quality documentation preferred.
• ASQ certification (CQT, CQI, or similar) is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn company software systems such as IFS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining compliance with Barnhart's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and NQA-1 requirements.
• Perform and document inspections, audits, and testing activities for quality-related work.
• Maintain quality records, reports, certifications, and other QA documentation.
• Assist with reviewing job and project documentation to identify applicable quality requirements.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance procedures and work instructions.
• Participate in internal and external audits and assist with corrective action follow-up activities.
• Verify that quality-related work is performed in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
• Assist with calibration tracking and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment.
• Support the maintenance of training and qualification records for personnel performing quality-related work.
• Communicate quality-related findings and assist in resolving nonconformance issues.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
