Job summary

SGS is a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, seeking a Specialist I in Quality Assurance to assist in maintaining Quality Systems within a pharmaceutical testing laboratory.

Responsibilities include supporting technical staff to ensure routine testing meets turnaround times and quality specs, approving and issuing Certificates of Analysis, training on SOPs, and participating in projects to improve services and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology, or equivalent experience required.
• 0-2 years of experience preferably in Life Sciences supporting cGMP Operations.
• Thorough knowledge of scientific principles is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to technical staff to ensure routine testing meets turnaround time and quality specs.
• Performs routine testing on client-specific projects.
• Approves and issues Certificate of Analysis and signs cGMP-related reports.
• Participates in department/company projects to improve client services.
• Demonstrates willingness and ability to train on applicable general SOPs pertaining to the Analytical Laboratory.
• Participates in general staff training sessions as scheduled.
• Participates in departmental efforts directed toward equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Adheres to relevant SGS SOPs governing official records and documentation.
• Compliance with applicable SOPs related to handling of customer complaints.
