Job summary

LEONARDO HELICOPTERS US CORPORATION in Philadelphia is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to audit the QMS across Production, Customer Support, Training (including MRO), Engineering and Procurement. You will interface with department process owners to evaluate containment and corrective action plans.

Qualifications

  • Has a fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation and implementation to domestic and international standards or requirements.
  • Understands principles of product and service quality evaluation and control.
  • Basic understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results and follow-up.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Ability to develop and implement quality programs with tracking, analysis and corrective actions.
  • AS9100 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a systematic, independent, and documented process for obtaining Audit evidence and evaluates it objectively to determine the extent to which the Audit criteria are fulfilled.
  • Review and analysis of previous findings for risk mitigation.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned related to the Company mission, values, goals and quality policy.

Summary:

Perform system, process, and product audits of the QMS. Provide oversight and assistance to the Organization with the main focus on Production, Customer Support and Training (including MRO), Engineering and Procurement. Interfaces with departmental process owners to evaluate containment and corrective action plans. Proactively recommends opportunity for improvements to the Products and Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a systematic, independent, and documented process for obtaining Audit evidence and evaluates it objectively to determine the extent to which the Audit criteria are fulfilled.
  • Additional duties may include:
  • Review and analysis of previous findings for risk mitigation
  • Other responsibilities as assigned related to the Company mission, values, goals and quality policy.

Education:

Bachelor Degree Preferred or a combination of high school diploma with relevant work experience in the field of Aerospace/Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.

Experience:

One to three (1-3) years of Aerospace Quality experience.

QUALITY:

  • Has a fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation and implementation to domestic and international standards or requirements.

PRODUCT AND PROCESS CONTROL:

  • Understands the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control

QUANTITATIVE METHODS AND TOOLS

  • Has a basic understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results and follow-up.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:

  • Has an understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Can develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.
  • Can identify, describe, and apply elements of the corrective action process including problem identification, failure analysis, root cause analysis, problem correction, recurrence control, verification of effectiveness

Training/Certification

  • AS9100 Certification preferred
