Job summary

Agustawestland Philadelphia Corporation in Philadelphia seeks an Auditor, Quality Assurance to lead systematic audits of the QMS across Production, Customer Support and Training, and to oversee containment and corrective actions.

The role requires 1–3 years in aerospace quality, understanding of ISO/AS9100 quality systems, and ability to identify improvement opportunities. Bachelor degree preferred; AS9100 cert preferred. Reporting to Manager, Quality Assurance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree preferred or relevant work experience in aerospace/engineering.
  • 1–3 years of aerospace quality experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of quality systems and standards.
  • Knowledge of product and service quality evaluation and control.
  • Understanding of audit types, planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving and quality improvement tools.
  • Ability to develop and implement quality programs and track improvements.
  • Knowledge of corrective action processes including root cause analysis.
  • AS9100 certification preferred.

Summary:

Perform system, process, and product audits of the QMS. Provide oversight and assistance to the Organization with the main focus on Production, Customer Support and Training (including MRO), Engineering and Procurement. Interfaces with departmental process owners to evaluate containment and corrective action plans. Proactively recommends opportunity for improvements to the Products and Services.

Responsibilities:

Education:

Bachelor Degree Preferred or a combination of high school diploma with relevant work experience in the field of Aerospace/Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.

Experience:

One to three (1-3) years of Aerospace Quality experience.

QUALITY:

  • Has a fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation and implementation to domestic and international standards or requirements.

PRODUCT AND PROCESS CONTROL:

  • Understands the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control

QUANTITATIVE METHODS AND TOOLS

  • Has a basic understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results and follow-up.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:

  • Has an understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Can develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.
  • Can identify, describe, and apply elements of the corrective action process including problem identification, failure analysis, root cause analysis, problem correction, recurrence control, verification of effectiveness

Training/Certification

  • AS9100 Certification preferred
