Job summary

Providence Medford Medical Center is seeking a Quality Assurance RN for a 1.0 FTE full-time position with day shifts on weekdays and weekends. This role provides assessment, evaluation and support for quality initiatives across PHS Oregon, ensuring compliance with CMS, TJC, and hospital requirements while coordinating multidisciplinary quality improvement projects.

The position collaborates with physician leadership, Directors and Managers to implement risk monitoring and educational activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License at hire.
  • 5 years of clinical experience.
  • 5 years hospital experience in progressively responsible positions.
  • Demonstrated leadership and effective communication with physicians and management.

Responsibilities

  • Provides assessment, evaluation and support for quality initiatives within PHS Oregon.
  • Manages initiatives to comply with Center for Medicare and Medicaid requirements and The Joint Commission.
  • Works with physician leadership, Directors and Managers on quality improvement projects and education.
  • Acts as a facilitator and mentor for Department teams related to performance improvement.

Job description

Quality Assurance RN at Providence Medford Medical Center is 1.0 FTE full time position working during weekdays and weekends on a day shift.

Provides assessment, evaluation and support for all quality initiatives within PHS Oregon. Provides concurrent and retrospective support managing initiatives to comply and in accordance with Center for Medicare and Medicaid requirements, The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements, administrative and program personnel, and third-party payors. Actively works with physician leadership, Directors and Managers in the development and implementation of quality efforts, including preparation, risk monitoring and reduction in clinical and non-clinical systems, and coordination of multidisciplinary quality improvement projects. Acts as a facilitator and mentor for Department teams related to performance improvement. Authorizes and makes decisions on recommendations and innovative solutions. Serves as a resource and consultant for Quality Improvement activities and Professional Staff quality and peer review activities. Assists in development and performance of educational activities as related to Quality Improvement, Accreditation requirements, and Resource Utilization.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License
  • 5 years of Clinical experience.
  • 5 years of Hospital experience in a progressively responsible position(s) requiring contact with various departments.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience related to a wide variety of patient populations and care delivery models.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with physicians, nursing, public, and all levels of hospital management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in nursing, Public Health, Business, Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • Adult medical surgical experience.
