Job description

We're looking for an experienced QA/QC Specialist / Inspector to join our Project Management team and play a key role in ensuring quality throughout the execution of our industrial and power-generation projects.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, solving technical challenges, collaborating across teams, and helping establish and strengthen quality standards.

You don't necessarily need an engineering degree to succeed in this role. We value practical industry experience, technical knowledge, sound judgment, and a commitment to getting the job done right.

What You'll Do

Establish and Maintain Quality Standards

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve QA/QC procedures, inspection requirements, and documentation.
• Review engineering drawings, project specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and applicable industry codes.
• Evaluate welding procedures, material certifications, fabrication requirements, and inspection documentation.
• Support compliance with ASME, AWS, ASTM, NBIC, and other applicable standards.

Collaborate Across Projects and Teams

• Partner with Project Managers, Engineering, Field Services, vendors, fabricators, and contractors to ensure quality expectations are understood and met.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality activities at fabrication facilities and project sites.
• Review nondestructive examination (NDE) activities and documentation.
• Identify and communicate quality concerns, nonconformances, and corrective actions.

Deliver Quality Results

• Perform or coordinate inspections to verify compliance with project and customer requirements.
• Track quality issues through resolution and support root-cause investigations.
• Review and compile final quality documentation and manufacturing records.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, supplier performance, and overall project quality.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of relevant experience in QA/QC, fabrication, welding, inspection, construction, engineering, or industrial field operations.
• Strong understanding of welding, fabrication, inspection methods, material traceability, and quality documentation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and applicable industry codes.
• Experience evaluating quality requirements, identifying nonconformances, and coordinating corrective actions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Ability to travel internationally.

Even Better If You Have

• Experience with heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), boilers, pressure vessels, pressure piping, or power-generation equipment.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), ASNT NDE, API inspection, or other relevant industry credentials.
• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Welding, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• A degree is preferred, not required. Equivalent technical training, certifications, and relevant industry experience will be considered.
